Foam filled tires are filled with liquid rubber that cures to form a solid rubber tire that is very heavy. It is expensive and is non a practise it yourself task. I would non foam fill up a half worn out tire simply new. durallymax

It'southward not a DIY product nor is information technology really a "cream".

Have you ever driven an SSL with filled tires? You may desire to earlier investing in it. It sucks.

Maybe time for some better tires.

Foam filled tires suck! I have a gear up on an 85xt case and it is terribly rough riding, horrible traction, and they are heavy heavy heavy. Mine are worn out and I am going to supercede them with a set of McLaren industries pneumatic tires ( the kind with the holes in them). povertypoint

WE take an 1845 case with foam filled tires, Concur they are HEAVY, agree -Exercise NOT foam
fill a half worn out tire. If memory serves me right, cost of filling with foam pretty much
matched the price of the tires.
FWIW, we put tubes in the tire, ran them with air on the skid steer a few days, then took them
in and had them filled with cream, guy at the tire shop wanted them broke in a little.
To me they seem to ride fine. And NO MORE FLATS, a big plus.
His reason for the tubes, when you need to replace the tire, you tin can cut it off and nix
will be stuck to the rim. No regrets hither.
But for cost, I would seriously look at the solid pneumatic tires.
Other poster said they suck, but what sucks worse, all the flats or the ride.
Rideing on a flat sucks big time.

Neighbor has a couple on a CAT. Used by careless employees in a moo-cow yard. They were always knocking the air filled tires off the rim. No more. He just had a couple recapped on the rim. Then no issues nearly article of clothing.

I can't speak to the ride. I practise know he plans to do more.

Truthful, just just because y'all are getting flats doesn't hateful a pnuematic tire will not work.  He said he was ill of plugging tires, and then I assume punctures are his main issue or poor repairs declining. What kind of punctures nosotros don't know.  Near SSL tires are bias ply with no steel in them.  I sound like a cleaved record at this point, but the steel belted radials really practise resist punctures a lot amend. I used to ready punctures a lot and it got quondam fast, don't have to exercise it anymore now. Take merely had one in over 4,000hrs of running them. If you lot are out driving over rough brush stubble all twenty-four hours, or working in a scrap yard, and so plainly you will probable notwithstanding have plenty of punctures and airless is the way to go, but don't dominion out pnuematics but considering the tire you accept doesn't work. For some reason with SSL's many just want the cheapest tire and if that doesn't piece of work they drop a bunch of money on solid or foam filled.  If in a state of affairs where punctures and/or bead strikes are inevitable, then an airless option is best only I would consider a lot of other options before settling on foam filled. Nosotros do have airless Tweels on one motorcar, a flake more money than solids but has a much smoother ride with more traction.

Yep foam filled can be recapped on rim past some places.

I know enough people who have gone to solid considering of dewdrop harm from curbs, information technology does eliminate that result (although some solids, depending on structure tin can delaminate from curb strikes) but it simply transfers the abuse to another part of the car. The wheel ends especially take a lot of corruption and need work sooner than they would otherwise, non necessarily a bad thing, but another cost to consider if keeping machines for long periods of time.
